The Last ‘Up On The Roof’ The Prince of Wales will be on NYE…all good things must come to an end… Norman Jay MBE plays the final ‘Up On The Roof’ party this NYE after over a decade at the venue, we hope you can join us.

After a run, if you include the ‘Get Diverted’ and ‘Slide’ days, of 16 years at The POW since 2007, NYE this year will mark the very last ‘Up On The Roof’ party at POW Brixton. We have put on over 200 parties over the period at The POW and have been hugely grateful to be such an integral part of the venue up over that time.

From the early days of ‘Slide’ events based around local crews and a following pulled down from the Oxford days, along with the legendary monthly summer ‘Get Diverted’ Sunday day parties, through to the start of the ‘Up On The Roof’ brand back in 2012 with Norman Jay MBE playing the first ‘Up On The Roof’ party on Easter Sunday 2012, and up to our final event at POW which will fittingly be with Norman headlining on NYE, it’s been an amazing ride.

Some highlights would include hosting three ‘A Love From Outer Space’ parties with Sean Johnston and the late Andrew Weatherall, multiple appearances from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Dimitri From Paris, Todd Terje, Derrick Carter, Nightmares on Wax, Crazy P, Horse Meat Disco, Dave Lee JN, Todd Terry, Melvo Baptiste, Greg Wilson, Late Nite Tuff Guy, SanchoPanza, Jazzie B, hosting one of Simon Dunmore’s final shows as a DJ earlier this year, our annual Balearic event which has proved to be our most popular seller, with Terry Farley, Nancy Noise and Alfredo at the helm along with guests each year, as well as also having along the likes of Louie Vega and Luke Una join us along the way.

So on NYE we will be signing off at The POW. Norman will have played for us we think 40 times with some great rooftop, club and hotel room memories along the way. We hope you can join us, him and some good friends of ours one final time…
