We are bringing back The Lost of Found, a party ran every Saturday at the legendary Madame JoJo’s in Soho for 10 years stirring up an explosive selection of 50s R&B, Northern Soul, Deep Funk, Rockabilly, Surf & 60s Garage 45s a night like no other happening in clubland.
About DJ ANDY SMITH:
DJ legend, ‘Portishead DJ’ and scratch master, ‘The Document’ creator, ‘Trojan’ records selector and realistically one of the finest DJs ever DJ Andy Smith.
Best known to most people for his early work as a Portishead collaborator and International tour DJ, Andy Smith earned his ‘Legendary’ title among crate diggers in 1998 when he released seminal mix album ‘The Document’. In the years since, Andy has continued to live up to his reputation as one of the finest and most creative DJs on the planet, tirelessly digging in the crates and emerging with pure gold.
Keb Darge is a leading man when it comes to discovering music and bringing it to the people and was a key figure bringing the Northern Soul phenomenon to London through his performances, he was pivotal in creating the London Soul Scene that stays strong to this day.
The creator of the term “Deep Funk” started a funk night in London which eventually turned into Legendary Deep Funk at Madame Jo Jo’s, a massive inspiration to artists like DJ Shadow, Paul Weller, Cut Chemist, Rza and many of the worlds top hip-hop & house producers as well as not so famous people who are inspired by the music he discovers plus he’s a wild dancer and a skilled martial artist!
DARGE & SMITH bring their massive record collection, a great vibe awaits, expect a glorious selection of shouters and talc dusted floor-shakers in the heart of Brixton!
